TVC Recipe- Curried Beef

ingredients

  • 1tbsp Oil
  • 700g Beef Chuck or Casserole Beef, diced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 2tbsp Mild Curry Powder
  • 400g Can of Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2cup Beef Stock
  • 2/3cup Sultanas
  • 3tbsp GRAVOX Traditional Canister Gravy Powder

Method

  1. Heat Oil in large frying pan. Cook onion and garlic for 5 minutes over medium heat. Stir in curry powder and cook a further minute.
  1. Add meat and make sure it is coverd in the curry powder mix.
  1. Add tomatoes, beef stock and sultanas and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour or until beef is tender.
  1. Remove lid, increase heat to medium and add GRAVOX Traditional Canister Gravy Powder. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring, or until thickened. Serve with rice, minted yoghurt fruit chutney, fresh coriander and mint.

TIP: You can use sliced dried apricots instead of sultanas.
