Bangers and mash

ingredients

  • 1 Impossible-to-get-together family
  • 250g Potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 40g Butter
  • 1/3 cup Cream or milk
  • 8 Thick pork sausages
  • 1 tbsp Oil or butter
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 Gravox Traditional Gravy
  • 1 Gravox Family pack Liquid Gravy
  • steamed mixed greens
  • salt to taste

method

  1. Cook potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes, until tender. Pan-fry sausages over low heat at same time.
  1. Drain potatoes and mash thoroughly. Warm butter and cream in small saucepan or microwave then beat into mash and add salt to taste.
  1. Prepare some fresh greens and steam for a few minutes until cooked
  1. Heat oil or butter and fry onions over medium heat until soft. Prepare gravy as per pack instructions. Pour over frying onions and mix well.
  1. Combine with impossible-to-get-together family, some ‘gee it’s nice to see you’ and a minor debate about who is meant to refill the gravy boat.
