Chicken, Leek And Bacon Pies

ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 leeks, finely sliced
  • 100g bacon, chopped
  • 1 kg chicken thigh fillets, cubed
  • 4 tbsp Gravox White Sauce Canister
  • 1 1/3 cups boiling water
  • 4 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

method

Pre-heat oven to 210°C. Heat butter or margarine in a large non-stick frying pan. Add chicken and bacon and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Add leeks and cook a further 3 minutes.

Place Gravox Sauce Mix in a heatproof jug. Add water and stir vigorously until smooth. Pour into chicken mixture. Leave to cool 10 minutes.

Lay a sheet of pastry flat and place ¼ of the mixture on it. Bring edges up to form a parcel.

Repeat with remaining mixture. Brush with egg and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
